Laura- I never thought about comparing those chapters and the 1950's to movies. It is true that movies and TV shows do portray a "perfect life" for white families back then. I love the cartoons you have found for your political cartoon. These show how in today’s world how health is made for convenience and we want to take a pill for everything that we need to fix. I was watching a show and one lady said, "Is there a pill for that?" At the time I thought it was really funny, but then I began to think is this really what the health industry is coming to? What do you think? -Stephie
Great choice of cartoons, they show what people really think about exercise. People don't really start thinking about their health until something is wrong or its too late. The other thing is that if people want to loose weight they just want to do it fast without thinking about health consequences.
Those are way funny. But they are so true in this world. More and more people are finding excuses to not exercise or what they may think is 'exercising' really isn't.
